Confidentiality Agreement
No sharing or forwarding of SAA member communications
You agree that privileged communications on this and any other SAA websites and forums, and delivered to you by email and other means, are all strictly confidential and restricted for the use of members in good standing of SAA and their attorneys.
No reposting, forwarding or referencing of fellow member posts
The effectiveness of the group, and open communications within the group, are directly dependent upon respecting the confidential nature of these discussions. Other individuals are participating in these discussions solely because they deem them to be confidential, and you recognize that any breach of this confidentiality could harm these individuals as well as SAA. You will not knowingly disclose any information to any outside individuals or groups, or reveal what is said on this site or who said it to any unauthorized party without authorization from SAA and the member.
No conflict of interest
You are not employed, affiliated, nor do you have intimate ties or "insider" relationships with anyone who is with the management of a stock agent or distribution outlet in a way that would compromise your pledge of confidentiality agreed to here.
Copyright
All contents and compilations of contents appearing in SAA site and in other communications should be considered confidential and proprietary, and may not be reproduced or further distributed or otherwise exploited by others without the written permission of SAA and the author. Contact the SAA executive director with inquiries. Members may download, print or otherwise copy a limited number of pages for personal use, but not for further reproduction, distribution or exploitation.
Limitation of SAA Responsibility
SAA does not monitor websites and forums at all times, but reserves the right to do so. SAA is not responsible for the content of any other websites linked to the site; links are provided as internet navigation tools only.
We take no responsibility for any material input posted by members. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for the form, content and accuracy of any posting or material contained therein that you have provided.
Acceptable Uses
SAA's websites and forums are to be used only for lawful purposes by individuals seeking to engage in confidential communications about issues related to the stock photography business and related topics of interest to members.
Prohibited Uses
SAA specifically prohibits use of its websites and forums for any of the following:
-- Do not post any incomplete, false or inaccurate information, or information which is not your own.
-- Do not post other information such as opinions or notices, commercial solicitations and social chit-chat.
-- Do not delete or revise any material posted by any other person or entity.
-- Do not print out or otherwise copy or use any personally identifiable information about others.
Security Rules
Users are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of SAA websites including, without limitation:
-- accessing data not intended for such user or logging into a server or account which such user is not authorized to access or sharing or using someone else's password,
-- attempting to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without proper authorization,-- attempting to interfere with service to any user, host or network, including, without limitation, via means of overloading, flooding, mail bombing or crashing, or
-- sending unsolicited e-mail, including promotions and/or advertising of products or services, or
-- forging any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in any e-mail or posting.
General Rules
Users may not use this Site in order to transmit, distribute, store or destroy material in violation of any applicable law or regulation; in a manner that will infringe the copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights of others or violate the privacy or publicity or other personal rights of others; or that is libelous, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful.
Suspension, Termination
Any user which the SAAA determines to have violated any element of the SAA Membership Agreement may receive a written warning, and will be subject at our discretion to a temporary suspension of service pending such user's agreement in writing to refrain from any further violations; provided, however, that if we deem it necessary, we may immediately suspend or terminate such user's service without issuing such a warning. Users we determine to have committed a second violation of any element of these Acceptable Site Use Rules shall be subject to immediate suspension or termination of services without further notice.
SAA reserves the right to exclude any member and terminate membership for cause, meaning breach of the terms of the membership, such as confidentiality and site use rules. Where a member is terminated for cause, membership fees will not be refunded. In addition, SAA, acting through its Board of Directors, may terminate membership for its own reasons and refund the membership fee; such decisions shall be final. SAA wants as many members as possible and does not contemplate terminating any member who is cooperating and assisting the group, but must reserve termination flexibility in the interests of the group.
Privacy
Personally identifiable information posted to the site is not confidential and may be viewed by us and anyone with access to SAA websites and forums. SAA cannot police or enforce our rules against all third party users; you should communicate with the user if you object to being contacted and want to restrict or stop their use. If you have a compliant, write to the SAA executive director.
Disclaimer
You use this Site at your own risk. SAA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE FUNCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THIS SITE OR THE SERVER THAT MAKES IT AVAILABLE ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. SPONSOR DOES NOT WARRANT OR MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS REGARDING THE USE OF OR THE RESULT OF THE USE OF THE MATERIAL IN THIS SITE IN TERMS OF THEIR CORRECTNESS, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE. YOU (AND NOT SPONSOR) ASSUME THE ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING, REPAIR OR CORRECTION.
WE RETAIN THE RIGHT TO REVISE THESE RULES AT ANY TIME, at which time such changes available for review to all SAA members,
