The SAA Mission Statement
SAA is an international association of professional photographers and others who create visual works for stock licensing. The mission of SAA is to support and protect the business interests of professional stock photographers worldwide. SAA provides information resources and advocates the use of equitable business models, fair contracts and ethical practices at all levels of the stock industry.
Membership in SAA contributes to the strengthening of solidarity among stock artists. As an SAA member, one gains access to important information about the stock image industry and becomes part of a diverse global community of experienced stock artists.
Empowering all members and enabling them to produce and distribute their work more effectively, SAA facilitates the sharing of information, goodwill and mutual support across continents. Through dissemination of educational and business information, industry analysis, legal support and use of our good offices, SAA provides its members with the tools required to create a business environment that enhances their individual abilities to benefit from the licensing of their intellectual property. SAA monitors the industry and serves as an advocate for its members' interests in dealing with agencies and other distribution channels.
The purposes of Stock Artists Alliance (SAA) are exclusively those allowed for organizations defined under §501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code.
